What time of day is best for taking pictures? - Mornington outdoor couples and family photography

Mornington lifestyle newborn photography

make the most of your photography session in melbourne. Here are some great ideas about the best time on the day to have your family portraits done.

Melbourne is a city where the weather can change dramatically in the same day. The best time of the day for your family lifestyle photography session will depend on your children, the truth is you might have the most epic location for a family photoshoot, but if your toddler is in meltdown mode, you will most likely have to re-schedule.

Providing that your children are rested and happy, then the best light (for backlight and warm colours) is early in the morning (at or before 8am in summer and 9am in winter) or in the afternoon (after 5pm in summer and 4pm in winter).

If the day is overcast then the light will be flat and this is also a great option for your family session as everyone will be evenly lit.

Now let’s get together and make some epic memories for your kids.
